COFFEE
ST. SIMON
Joseph's personal favorite for their excellent coffee, lovely service, and cozy PNW vibes.
COAVA
Possibly the best roasted beans in Portland in a converted industrial space.
HEART COFFEE ROASTERS
If you’re exploring downtown near Powell’s this is the place to grab an excellent cappuccino.
BREAKFAST
SMAAKEN WAFFLES
HAWTHORNE ASSYLUM FOOD CARTS
There are lots of options at the Hawthorne Asylum to choose from but our favorite is a breakfast waffle loaded up with savory or sweet additions.
SCREEN DOOR
Screen Door is a Portland institution and the food is southern inspired with PNW ingredients. Be ready for a line but you'll be hard pressed to find a better hangover cure.
PINE STATE BISCUITS
Tasty biscuits in a casual local chain covered in your choice of breakfast classics.
LUNCH
GRASSA
Have some delicious house-made pasta with fresh ingredients and that’ll make Molly question why Joseph hasn't taken her here yet.
VICTORIA BAR
Our favorite bar in Portland and the best place to sit and have an afternoon cocktail along with excellent bar food and vegan options.
DINNER
GRASSA
Eating seafood is one of our favorite things to do in the PNW and Jacqueline is an excellent option for it featuring a robust raw bar along with cooked fish.
BAMBOO
Near Powell's Books you'll find Bamboo - a Sushi restaurant that uses wonderful local fish and creative combinations.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
OURstore VINTAGE
Molly’s absolute favorite vintage store on the west coast! Mention you’re staying at the Jupiter for a discount.
DIRTY PRETTY
Cute patio, gorgeous cocktails, and delicious bites!
UNION JACKS CLUB
For the more adventurous travelers, check out one of Portland’s claims to fame - an adult entertainment club. Union Jacks is one of the oldest in the city!
SEVEN SISTERS
An adorable boutique filled with slow fashion, apothecary, home decor, and pantry goods.
HEY LOVE
The hotel tiki bar! We never go to Portland without getting a cocktail here, even when we’re not staying at the Jupiter.
SIZZLE PIE
A local chain but delicious nonetheless.
ACTIVITY
SATURDAY MARKET
Under a bridge may not be the most appealing location at first but this long running market has food, live music, and lots of shops selling locally made goods
WATERFRONT PARK
A LEISURELY WALK
Waterfront Park is a beautiful way to become acquainted with the Willamette River, downtown, and get great views of the city.
ALBERTA
SHOPPING
One of our favorite streets for a weekend stroll it's filled with cute shops, great restaurants, and a legacy of artistic community.
MISSISSIPPI STREET
HANGING OUT
Again a great (albiet smaller) stretch of small shops and lovely restuarants, this neighborhood has extremely Portland energy to it
POWELL’S BOOKS
If you do just one thing in Portland it may need to be seeing Powell's City Of Books. It's the largest independent bookstore in America, a beautiful labyrinth of paperbacks, and a historical landmark. The area it’s in also has a wonderful diversity of shops and food to check out after you lose some time inside Powell's.
BEYOND PORTLAND
HOOD RIVER
A small town in the Columbia River Gorge that offers incredible views and a fun day trip for both nature and activities.
ASTORIA
If we could send everyone here after the wedding we would, it's a one of a kind place (and where The Goonies was filmed) filled with old Oregon charm, seals, and places to kick back and relax with a drink.
SEATTLE
If you're craving another city adventure head north and visit our favorite neighborhood: Ballard. It's like you've been deposited into a small Scandanavian city right on the water with loads of shopping and drinking to do.
MT. HOOD
If hiking and roughing it is more your speed Mt Hood offers unrivaled trails, waterfalls, and camping - but be warned: it'll still be cold up there in June!
